Andre's Home Theatre Basement

Here I am trying to decide if this is the house that I wanted to buy. It was hard to imagine this room ever being a modern day home theatre.

After some serious 'visualizations'... this is what I managed to come up with... and decided to go ahead with the purchase of this house.

Here's what the basement looked like right after we moved in. Now came the fun part of turning my vision into reality!

Everything had to go... including the decrepit fireplace.

All in all, the renovations took about 1 month. This included all the demolition and waste disposal, along with the sound proofing of the entire basement. The walls and ceiling where wired with top of the line Ultralink cables along with 'cat 5' network cabling.

This is what my basement looks like as of December 5th 2002. The only thing missing is a blind for the window at back of the room.

I will be updating my webpage over the next couple of weeks with more details about my home theatre.
